HI girls,
Just a question here How do you support yourself through more bleeding than normal? I mean I feel tired and weak at times and lying in bed this morning I was very floaty/dizzy out of it. I take a high pot. vitamin with 50% iron, I eat very well.

My period showed up again a week after the last and I thought it was going to be light since it started that way for a day or so, but now for 4 days it is a full flooding period that is showing no signs of stopping. I thought it was slowing yesterday and woke this morning with another pair of pj's and underwear ruined...my pj's are very dark so I will probably try to salvage them since you won't see the stain. Over the last year my period has been like this early or late, but this time I have this gut feeling it isn't going to stop soon. I am a bit nervous thinking what if it doesn't....what do I do? I don't get where this comes from, I mean I must be building alining as fast as I am losing it.

I was tested for anemia back about a year ago and my blood was fine but my stores were low...it should be above 20 mine was 12 and then 16. They put me on iron then and said it probably wouldn't
cause any symptoms anyway. Any advice? HUGS MIkki

Hi Mikki -

I take as much rest as I can when I'm having a heavy bleed. I take 1000mg of Vitamin C ( this is supposed tol strengthen the capillaries), I also take 200 to 400mg of iron supplements a day. I take 800mg of Ibruprofen - this slows down the bleeding and sometimes shortens the duration of my period.

I started taking a vitamin drink loaded with B complex. Funny enough it will be available online in America in the next few months. I have been so happy with it I wanted to share it with you all anyway. It has given me back alot of energy that I lost during my irregular bleeding. It is probebly the most successful vitamin line here in Europe and even has special vitamins for children and also a line used by world class athelets. I'll see if I can find the addy for you and will pm you with the info. There is a "Womans 50+" also in the line. Must say, I am glad I came accross it!!!!
