ladies, I'm being driven insane! I posted below about this, but this is really bothering me....the thing is, I dont know if this IS an ovarian cyst or not....my appt. isn't for another week! I was hoping that anyone here, whose had ovarian cysts would post, and let me know what this feels like, and what did you do?

This all started about a week ago....right after my last period, which BTW, was normal. It came right on time, normal bleeding,etc....lasted for the normal amt. of time. etc....BUT, two days after I was done, here we go! All I know is, it started out by feeling like i was going to get my period again...that heavy, hanging, crampy, pre-period feeling in the lower abdomen. There was NO PAIN or deep ache anywhere AT THAT TIME, just this awful pre-period feeling. That went on for a few days, and it made me feel very nauseas and sickly. That lasted for about 3 days straight, maybe 4. Then, this awful pain/ache started, about an inch to the left of my belly button, about the size of a silver dollar, and then, another "spot" started to ache, about an inch down from THAT one! UGH! These "pains" (ache) would come and go, but more come than go. Finally, about 3 days ago now, this lousy sick ache began farther down, around the left ovary area. I do have a lot of gas, and I'd say my bowel movements are somewhat "off", I am able to go everyday, but some days it is very soft, other days harder...almost like constipation on a few days. NOw, I know I"m dealing with some IBS here, and I've heard that IBS (two good friends of mine have had this for over 20 yrs. and give me lots of info.) you can definatley have "sore spots" in there, in your intestines. Apparently, when this flares up, it can set off those sore spots, and last for who knows how long. Anyone else here, with this?
Now, I know, that ovarian cysts come and go, and I've had one, about 23 yrs. ago, but it wasn't this bad, and it just went away by itself. I can remember this feeling, that someting is "in there" feeling. It aches somewhat down by the left ovary, but then again, your intestines are there too. I dont' have a fever, no vomiting (just a little nausea), I don't feel to good though, very tired and dragged.....my appetite finally returned, but then again, I'm afraid to eat, because the last few days, everytime i eat, those "sore" spots in my intestines hurt! Now, last night this ache/pain was pretty bad.....I took a xanax, because not only was i panicking, but i wanted to see, if it would help, bec. if it helped, then perhaps maybe it's NOT smething truly physical. OK, well, about 1/2 hr. after the xanax, i noticed i started to feel better in the abdomen. But, this still took about another 1/2 hr. to really kick in. so, i'd say, after about an hour or so, I noticed that the two "sore" spots,,,the one down by the ovary area, and the one right above that were pretty much gone. Leaving me with the one farther up, the one about an inch over from my belly button....and that even calmed down some too. so, I don't know what to think.

Today, (which I posted on my other post), as i lay there, waking up (after a really great sleep!), i didn't feel anything in there, it felt ok. But I noticed, that as i lay there, and THOUGHT about what that is,,,it started. To me, and I"m not a dr....but to me, if you had an ovarian cyst that was to the point of making you ache down in that area, woudln't you feel it ALL THE TIME, say, when you first wake up? that just SEEMS like the way it would be..but i don't know. That cyst i had was 23 yrs. ago, and I can't remember much. I do feel that same familiar ache though, and this pressure that it seems to put on my bladder and vagina. (again, on and off).

hey, if any ladies who've had cysts, or are currently dealing with them, would post here, and tell me all about it , i'd be grateful!!!!!! bec. until i can see my dr. next monday, i'll be terriffied!

thank you ladies...so much! sincerely, MyDarling

I have had a cyst on my R. ovary every time I have went in for an ultrasound. I get severe pain when I ovulate for about 4 or 5 days. Since peri or the last year I get very nausious and achyin the back groin and legs.. and feel like I have pms before I ovulate which is now started to happen directly after my period. I have felt pmsy since my last period ended a weel ago I don't think I ovulated because I didn'tm get my usual pain except for a twinge of it yesterday for about an hr. now I am geting hot flashes today and am a little out of it so I suspect I have early period coming.

I think I get a cyst on my ovary every time I ovulate sometimes they have caught 2 on the ultrasound, but they go away. My 1st cyst on image was about 10 years ago and I was alarmed they said it was nothing women get them all the time. Thye did the ultrasound for the pain I was feeling. They said it would disolve. Please don't let this get the best of you. HUGS MIkki

I didn't usually have pain while lying down just standing and anything that put any pressure on my groin. Try a heating pad, if it is ovulation it will be gone by your appt. time. This will tell you somehting anyway.

thank you Mikki! yeah, see, so when you ovulate you get this feeling, this pain. Now, i have never had this before. I guess that's why this scares me. So, you get this for about 4 or 5 days...so, let's see, right now, this would be about 4 or 5 days myself, with this awful "ovary" feeling...I am pretty much mid cycle....but then again, who really knows anymore! This is very interesting, bec. you sound just like me. I also got pretty nauseas last week, which is gone now. I don't get any aching in the groin, but as of yesterday, i seem to have this weird feeling in my left thigh. Yes, I ALSO get this pmsy feeling a lot now...i never had that before. Like i had said in my MANY panicky previous posts..lol...after this LAST period, like yourself, i actually started getting that PMS feeling again, like i was going to get my period, that heavy hanging uterus feeling..mmaybe a few slight crampy feelings...this is a real pain in the neck, and these kind of things always scare me..well, they do NOW!

thank you Mikki, this does make me feel better........the more knowledge you have, the better you feel. I do hope others post here too, we need to share our knowledge.

Hi Sweetie! Don't worry too much. I have a pain down my right thigh when my period is coming. Heavy tight feeling in abdomen. Crampy sometimes about a week after my period too. This month I have skipped so far and flashing like mad. Cramy, tight, bloated all month. It is starting to ease up and turn into more of a "traditional" PMS. I guess because I am about 10 days from my next anticipated start date! I am on WEBMD all the time when this happens and that NEVER helps! Keep posting here!

You very easily could have ovulated. I used to get ovulation pain already a day or two after my period ended.

hi ladies,,,,thank you for your replies! as far as ovulating, yes indeed, that could be it...however, how long does that go on for pete sake?! I've been dealing with this IBS/ovarian pain for about 4 or 5 days now! right now, it feels somewhat painful, and when I bend over, it feels as if i "crunch" something in there, by the left ovary area. I also noticed tonight, that there seemed to be a burning sensation in that area too, by the ovary. That lasted only a short while. I feel as though there is something "in there" as i said, which would lead me to believe a cyst may be present...but i don't know. One of my friends, who has been suffereing with IBS for YEARS, said she would feel the same thing on her ovaries, or just one ovary....she said she thought she had a cyst once, and it was IBS, so apparently it must put pressure on the same place.

UGH! this is really dreadful! I am laying on my couch, with a heating pad over my left abdomen, and my back. It only helps somewhat. I feel like i'm loosing my mind!
