Are itchy boobs part of this perimenopause thing? I've had them for about a month now...off and on...have tried changing body washes, used different lotions, etc, nothing helps. Even tried some of the breastfeeding moms cream, that only helps for awhile. I get the itchies especially around my nipples at times...but my other symptoms are better, so I guess I should be happy!

I'm with you on this one, Lisa. I had it a while ago when I started HRT, and it more or less went away when I came off it, but I have recently been prescribed HRT again (Vagifem) and the itching came back for a few days, but has now settled down a bit.

Oh itchy Boobs - I 've had this forever - never chalked it up to peri - just the winter weather /dry skin thing or certain fabircs - or the stretching of the skin when my boobs get swollen before a period. Mostly it helps when I take off my bra a give a good scratch. Sorry I have no advice to offer but I don't believe its anything serious.

I had this silly symptom too, and sometimes it would drive me nuts! I am on BHRT now and the itchies are much less! Not 100% gone, but not at the point where I am making myself insane scratching! So I agree with Pookish, nothing serious, but yes, annoying!!

I had this about 6months ago and thought I would die, they were also hurting. You can google this name Moonmaid We cant give out websites but I bought this produce called BREAST BALM and it worked great its all natural oils poke root, calendula infused organic olive oil, vit e etc you have nothing to lose but the itches.

I have for years also suffered from a painful and itchy vagina and you know this company also has alovely ointment that worked but what really truely worked was CALENDULA OINTMENT you might want to try this first to.

Hope this helps it did help me and yes I believe its due to Peri.

Take care

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER GIRLS!
Just wanted to mention that I too am part of the itch boob club cool.gif What I read on the message board here was helpful in that there might be a corilation between HRT and the itches. I think this might be the case for me as each time I try a little estrace cream I get an itchy rash on nipple.
What I also wanted to mention is that a rash on your boob is not to be taken lightly. There are two types of breast cancer (Paget's and inflammatory breast cancer) in which a rash and itch are the symptoms. These two breast cancer to my knowledge cannot be detected by mamo. I had a skin biopsy on my boob itch, rash last year and it was normal. I think now after reading this board that hrt might be to blame.
Keep checking those boobs!

Hi All,

I have no doubt that the itchy nipple phenomenon is hormonal. Although I don't suffer from it now, when I was pregnant (a hundred years ago) I had such itchy nipples I was ready to rip them off!

Such fun.
