Well, I saw Sweeny Todd. I loved it!! But I don't think it's for everybody. It's certainly not the feel good movie of the year, however it does drive home what living with hate and contempt can do to a person! I love Johnny Depp. He's such an artist. It's like if he wasn't an actor he would be making music, or painting..... so I can watch him in anything. But this movie is not for you if you have a weak stomach!

Thanks for the review. I have heard mixed views, but like you, I love Johnny Depp. I watched all the pirate movies last weekend. He is so sexy! I will look forward to seeing the movie! Stomach can take it!!!

It's one of my favorite musicals, but on stage the gore is obviously kept to a minimum. I don't know that I want to see it on the big screen...I think I'll wait for cable!

I'm looking forward to seeing the film ! Alan Rickman is in it too..so that's a bonus.

johnny did an awesome job in Sweeney Todd what an artist, its a great movie a work of art all the actors in it did great I purchased the dvd this week

I kept my eyes closed through 1/2 of this movie, and only wished I could shut off my ears, too, as the gore (visible and audible) was horrible!

But during the gentler parts, of course, I had no problem ogling my beautiful Johnny.

I've been so wrapped up in all the pirate movies and all things pirates that I just saw this movie last night. It's not as gory as I expected and the acting and singing is top notch! I know Johnny wanted to be a rock star and used to have a band called the KIDS before he got into acting, but I didn't know he had such a great baritone voice! I'm going to watch the movie again this evening. Three actors in the film are also from the Harry Potter movies....Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter and the guy who played "Peter Petegrew in The Prisoner Of Azkaban.

I love Johnny's look in Sweeney. The movie is a work of art.......I think there is a book on the making of the film with production sketches and all.....I am going to go in search of that tomorrow.
