My symptoms started out as a clear, sringy discharge and outer vaginal irritation. No itching just irritation. My gyno said it was just hormones and gave me Premarin cream. That seems to help some. Now I have noticed that I always have a "moist to wet look" on the outside and I am still having the irritation. The wet look even happens during my period and I use tampons so I know this is not coming from inside me. Any ideas?? Or is this just someting I am going to have to live with?

Hi SLB and welcome to Power surge. smile.gif
Have you asked your doctor to check you for any bacterial infection such as bacterial vaginosis?
I know this can cause a discharge.
It must be coming from inside the vagina really. I dont think there is anything that could cause a discharge outside.
The only other thing I can think of is if your bladder is leaking a little. This is quite common is peri when the muscles become weaker I believe.

Thanks Janet...
She was pretty sure of herself on it being hormones. Actually said the words..."I'm not even going to culture this"..it is hormones.
I am only 38 so I was just curious if anyone else had had the same kind of thing going on.
