I'm 46 and having symptoms of perimenopause.

For the past year I have noticed that my vulva is dry and burns. Is this what vulvar dryness feels like? I only get occassional itch but it's mostly the feeling of having my underware up in my crotch all day. That dry and irritated feeling.

I have been checked for yeast and bacterial infections and nothing shows up. The only relief I get is at ovulation time. My periods went from 32 days apart to 27 and just spotting.

Thanks,
Lynn

yes, it doesn't have to be a constant itch.

Yes, that's it! My Vivelle patch took that symptom away, thank goodness. I'm told that estrogen creams will do the same.
