O.k. This doesn't happen alot, but it does happen from time to time. I can just be sitting still and all at once my face feel very very warm and even my scalp feels hot. Is this a hot flash. And, while this is going on the rest of my body chills. And, when this happens my face and head sometimes will stay this way for minutes at a time... I thought maybe I'm just weird. But could someone please shed some light on this matter.

I'm not sure I've ever had a hot flash, but a lady I used to work with would have what you just described. Her face, neck, ears would get beet red and she would starting fanning herself. Sounds like a hot flash to me. And, others on here have said they get chills at the same time.

I suffer with the same symptoms sometimes, being HOT and COLD at the very same time. My face feels like it is on fire, and tends to the sunburnt feeling, so yet, this is a hot flash, just a variation on a theme of the ones that heat us up from lower body to all over our upper body.

It is very normal Blue, and it strikes me odd too that I can be both hot and cold. If you are weird, so am I

Welcome to the club! I have had people ask me if my ear piercings are infected because my ears get so beet red with a hot flash.

The only difference with me is they feel hot, my face, scalp and ears, but they don't look red not yet anyway. I hate the way it feels though, especially when the other part of my body is freezing

I've also felt hot and cold at the same time! I've had the hot flashes that affect only my face, head, and ears. Then I've had the all-body kind, too. I get chills with both, but not always. I think any combo is normal during peri.

Yes, I get these weird feelings in the back of my neck and my head, I cant even really explain how they feel, but they are most unplesant. Its like I have read in other posts, my thermostat has gone totally wrong - how I wish I could find an engineer who could fix it like they can with the one in my lounge!!!!
