Hi, have not posted for a while, but I have eventually gone the HRT route as all my options have run out, I had blood tests done for hormones, they came back normal, YET I did a urine test and it showed me I am perimenopausal which I did at home.

My gynae put me on HRT and have felt better, I sleep well, eat well, live life again.
I do get my off days but they are few, I was tired of trying different things eventually the body needs a rest.
i am using a gel which I rub onto different parts of the body in the morning and at night, I am able to go out again and live my life.

That is wonderful!! I think if you need HRT, do it! I hope you are not taking Premarin or Prempo or Provera....doesn't sound like it!!

I may take that route yet!!!

Wonderful news!! I too am taking HRT after a long time of trying just anti-depressants. I had depression and anxiety to the max. So bad that for a long time I was not able to get out of bed and even make appointments. As one of the meno-sisters said, I was tired of living symptoms instead of life.

I'm also wondering what you're taking. I know you said a gel. Is it estradiol and progeterone? I am so sick of feeling so bad, and I just want to feel better. Still have not found a Doc with any peri experience. I'm happy for you and hope you're feeling good soon!!

Hi, thanks to all the replies, I am using an eostradiol gel, called Femigel, its made by a company in France, it is a good product as it has no side effects like taking pills, even my hair and skin have also improved. Don't be fooled by doing a web search for FEMIGEL as you will get another product called FEMIGEL its not the same thing.

I tried Promensil, Femolene Ultra, Phyto soy, Remifemin, vitamins, everything you can think of, why must we punish ourselves when we can get proper treatment its not worth it. I understand that there are some women who cannot use HRT due to health reasons, if you can use it then go for it, or even try the patch out.
Life is worth living not suffering.
My anxiety and panic attacks, persperation, acne, moodiness, dizziness, nausea, sore breasts, cysts, all symptoms have gone, touch wood as we say in South Africa.
