I have read about Formication. But I don't know that what I have is that.

I have this odd gnawing aching in the skin of one area on my stomach...near the belly button on the right and it's a straight across area about six inches long. It feels better when I press or rub it...it doesn't tingle so much as feel achy or like there is something in there...it comes and goes. The skin almost feels sore ( could it be from my TOUCHING it-ha!). It's in my meno paunch kinda topical... like it's only a little bit down in the skin.

I have had it before and it's come and gone. I am one year without periods. HOt flashes and the like. But this is really annoying. Who has fat that aches?

Formication does not cause aching. If you are feeling something in there it could be a hernia or a lipoma. You should tell your doc.
