Has anyone noticed their vision changes from day to day?

I had LASIK vision correction 8 years ago and had 20/20 after that. Lately, it seems my vision has been going goofy on some days. One day my distance vision will be excellent and other days it's fuzzy like I need correction again. Could this be peri related? (Or maybe I need to get my eyes re-zapped). blink.gif

Luckily, at 44 I don't need reading glasses yet. It's only my distance vision that changes.

Yes, my vision is crazy! In the summer I had a eye exam and my vision was 20/25, I told the optometrist my problems but he said could not see anything wrong, my eyes where very healthy!

I still was worried>>so last month I went to a ophthalmologist, since I have a old eye problem in my right eye that has clear up, he did do a eye scan. It only showed scaring and he said no way that could be causing my problems. He kind of made me feel stupid. Plus I was the last patient of the day and they where shutting off the lights while I was still in the chair.
So like everything else no answers> so no help, so I crawl back into my cave praying & waiting all this madness will end soon!

Before getting on this peri ride I also noticed a change in my vision...I also went to the doctor...two different doctors, and they both said the same thing. I just could not figure out why my vision seemed sorta fuzzy yet my prescription had not changes. Some days can be fuzzier than others. I guess this was the beginning symptoms of more peri symptoms to come. You are not alone smile.gif.

I had trouble last year, too. Particularly with seeing the computer screen and reading. Tried a bifocal contact lens. What a nightmare!!! Strangely, this summer, my vision has been fine! I can read most days and now when I wear my reading specs, they make me feel woozy. My best friend last year came up with the same issues I was having, stating: When you read, and then look up is everything fuzzy?? YES!!! And sometimes the book page is fuzzy too. And the TV screen??? We squealed with delight that we weren't alone and agreed, could it be, it must be, Peri!! Incidently, the vision changes came the same time the dizzy light head came symptoms.... hmmm. Coincidence? Anyone else with woozy head/changing vision?

Hi to all.

I think as we get older (I'mm 55), our eyes don't refocus as quickly as they used to. Hence, when you have been reading and look up into the distance, it takes a minute for the eyes to refocus.

Also, Lasik (which I had 3 years ago and am SO glad I did) and aging make for drier eyes. I notice when our weather is dry that I don't see as well in the distance. I use artifical tears to help that, and make sure I remove my makeup at night. If I don't, my eyes will feel a little gritty and that's not good for the eyes. Keep them lubricated. I also put in the artificial tears 2 or 3 times during heh day if I'm really starting at the computer screen a lot.

If you work at a computer a lot, like I do, a good thing for the eyes is every 20 minutes, look in the distance for 20 seconds, and blink 20 times. This helps lubricate the eye.

Hope this helps,

Yes, my vision can change...even during the day....seems to be related to the cycyle and let me relate this when I was going through fertility treatments years ago I had to take injections of progesterone...after a few weeks of this my vision got very blurry...so perhaps it IS the hormones!
