I think Deborah Harry looks great--and she's six years older than me! She's 62.

I think she just looks marvelous! I always loved her singing. Do you know if she is still performing? Another woman that inspires me is Meryl Streep. I have always adored her. Her acting, her personality, all of it. I think she is looking very well for her 60 years! AND as FAR as I know, she has had no cosmetic surgery. (I probably don't know much, but have never read anything about it!)
Thanks for this thread; very enjoyable!

Here's Debbie Harry prior to plastic surgery:

When I saw her a couple of years ago just as she started making her comeback, she looked more like this than the top picture. No amount of air-brushing could make her look the way she does in the first picture. It's pretty well known that she's had extensive cosmetic surgery, to say nothing of regular botox shots. One of the immediate giveaways is the eyelid area. No woman of 62 with such wide lids can have lids like that at 62 without eye lid surgery -- even women who are aging well without lots of wrinkles.

As far as I'm concerned, it's great if you want to do it. She looks terrific. Many women opt to do it especially those constantly in the public eye. Today, with the advent of high definition TV, everyone is having plastic surgery or doing botox. I have a lot of respect for actresses like Diane Keaton, Sally Field and Lauren Hutton aging naturally.

I read the following in an article:

Blondie's Debbie Harry has gone from Heart of Glass to heart of black sheep embryos! In an interview set to air on The Insider tonight, Harry reveals the secret to looking good at 62: surgery! Hey, at least she's honest.

Harry says, "When I was 32 or 35, I read in Vogue magazine about an open-heart surgeon that did fresh cell replacement...I thought this was so logical. So, I did that and I was the youngest person to have ever had that done."

Just what does "fresh cell replacement" consist of? "They made injections from the embryo of black sheep and they would take them from the different organs in the sheep and make up these injections."

After getting that ewe-sful (ha!) surgery, Harry tells The Insider that she "found a doctor that was giving people with Alzheimer's human growth hormones, which is a little different from the fresh cells, but the same kind of thinking. I don't really have a problem with experimentation and so I experimented."

If you're not one for "experimentation," Harry also recommends an old standby. "Facial surgery which of course, is essential."

They did a survey:

Are You Willing to Go as Far as Debbie Harry to Find the Fountain of Youth?

Yes 12% (72 votes)

No 88% (532 votes)

Total votes: 604

P.S. Kleeo, I also love Meryl Streep. I've heard she's had plastic surgery, too.

I've had botox before, and although it made me look great, it wore off in 3 weeks. (My metabolism is just too fast I guess.) However, I have always maintained that I will get a facelift when the time comes, and I feel the need for it. Why not? If it makes you feel great, I say go for it. Now these high-tech procedures involving sheep embryo's...I don't know...
