I do an exercise routine daily and sometimes this is what happens...when I do my waist bends, I'm fine until I try to bend to the left. Then I get pain in my hip and down my left leg, sometimes to the point that I can't do it. Other times, I have no pain at all. Would this be a form of sciatica? I can still do my jogging and it doesn't bother me, only the bending.

Hey everyone,

No one replied to my original post (above) so I thought I'd try again. I work at an elementary school and have to be outside after school to do crosswalk duty. It's been quite chilly a couple times, and I usually tense up because I'm cold. Then I am noticing that my leg and hip start hurting just from that. Now I'm concerned about it. Any ideas? (Most of the time, I have no pain at all, exercising or standing in the cold.) Anyone else have anything like this?

dmar: I have left hip pain after exercising...I asked a guy who owns a gym what he thought it was and he said tendonitis...it responds to ice-packs...(which of course isn't practical when you're working!)....does the pain respond to ibuprofen??

Hi Robin,
How are you doing?
You said you get pain in your hip, too. Does the pain last very long?
Mine usually goes away within just a few minutes, so I haven't really had to take anything for it. I guess I was just worrying that it might be arthritis. I don't know why, but tendonitis doesn't sound as bad. I guess I won't worry about it, then, and I'll take a Tylenol if I need to.

Thanks for your post, and have a great evening! Deb wink.gif
