Does anyone else feel warm especially in the face and then when their temp is taken it is a few degrees below normal? It was my forth trip to the ER last night in two weeks. They took my temp and it was 98.3 but I felt and looked much hotter. All the tests they did came back normal including ANA, thryoid, RF, ACE

Thanks

Sherri,

If you have never had a hot flash, it can feel very intense, mostly on the upper body and face area. Mine have always felt like a big heat lamp was blazing down on my face and upper body, a sudden wave of heat, like all the air was just s*cked out of the room. It's rather uncomfortable and it comes on quickly. They can last for awhile and come and go several times a day.

If this happens to you, drink some cold water, try to get cooled down, put on some lighter clothes and wait it out, it will pass (if it is a hot flash). They can be miserable, and even bring on anxiety. Certain things like a hot drink or spicy food can trigger them also.

Take good care,

Juliann

Hi Sherri ..

well ok, MY hot feeling, comes in the form of all over body heat! Yeah, i don't get HOT FLASHES, like NORMAL people..lol..no, i get this insanley hot feeling all over my body. I know some other ladies here have said they have that too, so at least i'm not alone.
This is a weird feeling, but I"m getting used to it. It usually hangs around ALL DAY, i usually wake up with it. I feel VERY VERY HOT,,,,so, i take my temp. and it's usually one degree below the normal 98.6 ... so, i don't know. it MUST be hormonal.

this type of thing is very common in peri though. So, i really wouldn't worry about it.

Sincerely, MyDarling

Hi,

Mine are concentrated in my belly and then move to my face. I've yet to have the drenching wet sweats, just this dry hot, hot heat. Mine can last for an hour or more, and I often wake with it, too. Though, the a.m. hotness goes away after a good run.

Welcome to the Hot Zone!

Peace and Love,
Brink
