I eat one bar a day. Yes, they seem expensive but at least they are natural. I do not really relish eating them even though I actually like the flavors. I like the shakes but they are not quite as convenient and have a 'texture' that may be objectionable.
Yes, they give me gas.
The bars actually hold me until lunch very well. I have a very physical job and it usually takes a rather significant breakfast to do that. I am doing Weight Watchers and most of the bars are 5 points with a few at 4 points each.
I would suggest trying them if you can and give them some time to work. I eat one each day. There has been touted some other wonderful effects from the bar but have yet to see any of those manifest themselves. (hair, nails, etc.)
