Had a long chat with my Doctor this week about new symptoms and all the things I have tried to help get relief from them. I have not had much luck with herbals remedies (unfortunately) but a couple of things have really helped. He said that herbal things work for some people and not for others; medications for some, and not for others. Amazing how we are all so different. Different things work for different symptoms and suddenly stop working. We had a bit of a chuckle about a few suggestions he had heard over the years and we both agreed that if it works, it works! No matter if it is herbal this or herbal that, or a Rx for this or that, or standing on one leg and singing the national anthem. At the moment my favourite remedies are Chamomile Tea and the Apple Cider Vinegar recipe. (Haven't resorted to the one-legged singing yet.)

Superme, Are you using the Organic Apple Cider Vinegar or the regular pasteurized store bought type? I just bought some organic from the Vitamin Shoppe to try. My recipe calls for two tspns of vinegar, 8 oz of water and honey if desired. I'm not using raw honey so hope this is ok. I also have camomille tea, but just can't seem to get use to the flavor. I've been taking .5 mg. of Ativan on an as needed basis and am looking for natural remedies that will work as well. A friend who has fibromyalgia (I have this also) takes melatonin and valerian root at night for sleep. She says it works well for her, but I'm afraid to add a natural herb while still taking the Ativan.

I am using organic ACV. I know the recipes vary a bit too. I have starting adding a couple of tablespoons of Cranberry Juice (which I love) to the camomile tea. Makes it nice and fruity if you don't like the camomile flavour. I must admit the various brands of tea do taste very different. It's a bit hit and miss till you find one that you prefer.
