They are estradiol/norethindrone acetate tablets. 1mg/0.5mg. Anyone know anything about them or can share their experience? Thanks!

Just a side note, I have been taking Activella for 9 days now and I am still getting palps, some flushing and I must admit I feel rather anxious. I am in peri now and still have monthly periods, but my doctor gave me the Activella to combat hot flashes, vaginal dryness and irregular periods. At first he want to put me on the low dose pill, but I had concerns about it being too stong so he gave me the Activella and said it had even less hormones then the pill. Do I need to give the drug more time? Thanks!

Hi Karen, I never took Activella, I did take femhrt and ortho-prefest. They all three have the same meds just different strengths. The femhrt did not have enough estrogen for me and with the ortho I bleed for 36 days straight before giving it up. Dr. wanted me to try activella, but I chose not to. Sounds like you are peri, I thought these meds were for post (continually so you dont have any bleeding) Is there a reason that your doctor wont cycle you? I could be wrong about this but would read all I could about this med  if I were you. I would certainly think that 9 days would be long enough for you to know. It does take a while for hormones to balance but they should start helping within just a few days. Good Luck Janel
