I ran into an article the other say that mentioned that some new findings were coming out about the herb maca and its prospective ability to help with hot flashes, sleeplessness and other menopausal symptoms. It regulates the endocrine system and has been used to help men with sperm count and both men and women with libido issues. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a go. It is not a phytoestrogen like black cohosh.

Tama,
No it is not a phytoestrogen or an herb. It is a root. I started using it last year. I buy mine from Macafem. I started out taking three a day and within a matter of days I was feeling like a different person. I then cut back to two and now a year later I am just taking one a day. I also took a liver cleansing (Liver Rescue II+ I think) and extra vitamin C and B6 which all help balance out your hormones. It's worth a try.
