I am either in peri or menopause.. I have complex hyperplasia which I will be starting Prometrium the beginning of the month.. In August we were on vacation and I got some good bug bites taht itched.. I have one red patch that looks like a bug bite on the front of my middle thigh but dosent itch. My husband had some dermatitis on his eyelid and the doctor gave him some kind of cream so started using that on my thigh and it might be a tad lighter this morning. It's about an inch around in an oval shape. .It's not as red as it was in August.. Can a bug bite spot last along time like that? I was wondering if it might be some hormonal changes that cause this.
I do have one spot on my left shoulder blade that itches several times a week but there is nothing to be seen. Strange stuff!

Bush:

I went to a dermatologist recently and he said as we age we will tend to get strange things showing up on our skin. Most of the time they are benign. I do not know how long a bug bite should last but I would guess it has been to long. If I were you I would go to the doctor and just have him look at it. Make sure you don't have a tick, or stinger, or something embedded. I really don't think it is anything to worry about, but I think it is a really a good policy to see a doctor or dermatologist anytime you something on your skin that is new or does not heal.

I am sure it will be fine but I think you should get it checked out.

I put that cream on it the last 2 nights that my hubby had and I think it's lightening up.. maybe it is some kind of dermatitis stuff. we were at Yellowstone Nat'l Park and were around lots of those thermals and had some spray at us from a distance and maybe it was from something that got on my skin.. It was after that when I noticed it.. Strange the things we get hold of

HI BUSH,

I think it may be discoid eczema,,I got it just last year ,,it is always in the shape of a coin round or oval shape..dry patch that can last up two three weeks..look it up on google and see if that looks like what you have..doc gave me topical med for it..they spring up from time to time..

Nothing to worry about, just annoying..Hope this helps
