Good questions, because I experienced the burning ear a couple of weeks ago. I've been dealing with peri symptoms since my late 30's and I don't recall ever having that feeling. The sensation lasted less than an hour and hasn't returned. I have heard of burning tongue sensation from declining estrogen, so this is probably also related.

a friend of mine gets nothing for a hot flash but a red burning left ear...go figure!
