I usually get that burning neck and back sensation when I'm having hot flashes and major sweating. Recently, I've noticed that my neck and back seem hotter than usual when I'm having a hot flash. This is not just an internal sensation; my family has been able to actually feel the heat. You are not alone smile.gif.

anxiety can cause burning skin sensations, especially in the locations you mentioned. I have had them in the past.

I have had that sensation just recently too. It was on my face, neck, chest and right arm. I was sitting in the doctor's office on my mom's office visit. I suddenly got stopped up in one nostril (I kid you not) and it scared me. I got hot on the above mentioned places and asked my mom if I felt feverish to her. It did to me but she said I didn't feel any hotter than usual.

[This morning I woke up with this intense heat sensation from the top of my shoulders , all the way down my back and at the back of my arms. I'm not sweating and my temperature is normal.
I can still feel the burning sensation at the top of my back. All these symptoms make me worry.

why worry? it's either meno, or you need to see a doctor... my motto? don't worry till i know for sure that i have something to worry about.

honestly.. if we all worried about every little thing, we would be crazier than we are already... at least, i would. i refuse to worry as well as being so horribly moody...

I get this sensation like I'm sunburned on the inside of my skin. It goes from my ears down to the middle of my back, and from my cheeks down across my neck and chest to the bottom of my breastbone. It's also inside my breasts and under my arms. I don't think it's a hot flash because it lasts quite a while -- sometimes for days -- but usually just for a couple of hours. It's a very weird uncomfortable kind of feeling.

Zen -- you're much better head-wise than I am. I worry about EVERYTHING. My brother says the same as you -- stop sweating the small stuff.
