Has anyone had their periods become irregular over the course of a year? Or should it be more gradual than that. They started to become a little late, then get two in a month then over a week late... all over the course of this past year and 1/2 or so... Anyone???? I do have many other peri symptoms... they have arted the last year 1/2 also. I will be 42 in Dec.

Hi! Yes , my periods went whacko after a very bad car accident and stress of the resulting lawsuit. I was on my period at the time I was hit and sustained pelvic problems from the accident. I noticed right after that (coincidence)? that my periods started to come much closer together and erratic. I was 44. My internal physical therapist siad it is possible to go into an early menopause from excessive stress and also trauma...I am now just turned 48 and haven't had a period for one year. Your P schedule sounds like mine was more or less. I hope you aren't upset if you are going in to menopause, besides some vaginal dryiness I can honestly say that I am LOVING not having the bleeding and all that emotional crap you lug around every month of your life. No more sore boobs too! I am totally diggin my "crone" years and am more empowered, happy with myself and sure of myself, and absolutely do not take lip or attitude from anyone or anything at this point in my life...I'm nobody's fool and I love it. Just read read read about what you can do healthwise, foodwise etc., and prepare yourself for thisnew phase. It's not all bad!
regards,

hi .. YEP, i've had that. they seem to change each month, sometimes early, sometimes late...so far, i havent' actually skipped a month yet, but i'm sure that's coming. most of my symptoms have happened in the last year and a half too! yeah, it's peri, and if i look back to being 42 (i'm 49 now) i can see how things were changing already, but i didn't connect the dots..lol

Peace. MyDarling

Hi,
So far I have skipped 3 periods this year! I have every symptom on the list and more. I am 49 and this has been going on for two years now! Looking back I realize (like a lot of us) that IT all started in my early forties and was in fact gradually and very sneakingly turning my life into a very unpleasant and challenging survival trip!

Hi there...
Yep, my periods became completely irregular all within a few months time. It's maddening not knowing when I might start bleeding!
