Hi everyone. So I haven't been officially diagnosed as peri - but all signs point to YES! Migraines, neuro symptoms, palpitations, hot flashes, spotting, etc.. I've had some basic bloodwork which has all been normal. I also fall into the "much too young" category (per my primary care and gyn physicians). I'm 36. Anyway, I know that vaginal dryness is a symptom - but what about other areas. My eyes are really dry and my mouth and nose, too. Just wondering if this is all part of peri. I drink lots of water, almost no coffee or soda. If you have an answer, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks - C.J.

Hi C.J.
Except for spotting, I have every symptom you have. I was freaking out earlier today on the chatroom about my dry eyes. I was very worried about blindness but some really nice ladies convinced me that I will be OK. I also have the dry mouth and nose at times. I think about that a lot and of course it makes it worse. I also drink plenty of water with minimal soda and no coffee. I don't really have an answer but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I had some anxiety symptoms and dryness at 36 but I didn't put it all together until now. You may very well be experience peri symptoms. You should go to insta chat and you will meet some very well informed ladies who are also a hoot to talk to. Take care and God Bless

Sherri,

Thanks for the reply. I've never been to a chat room. I'll have to try the insta chat - sounds like fun. I am going to a new GYN next week. This one is a female, so hopefully she'll be more sympathetic. I come from a big family and it seems some reproductive problems run in the genes. 3 sisters with some mild abnormalities. 2 of them had hysterectomies in their mid 40s. My mom (who is now in her 70s) was finished with everything by 43. She thinks this is all very cute and funny. I have a different opinion.
Thanks again,
CJ
