I wanted to add a question to my last post.. I said that I had hot flashes but I have to say I am not sure... All I know is that once in a while, I get really flushed, burning up! especially my face and chest, more so my upper half of my body. I will even take my temperature because I could swear I have a fever.. but not so. Then it lasts about 20 min. Then goes away. Could that be something else???

Sounds like a hot flash. I get a real hot burning sensation in my cheeks, they practically turn purple. I also get light headed and dizzy.

I agree, this sounds like a very typical hot flash. Mine radiate up from the middle of my chest, arms and up my neck and into my face. It does feel as though you probably have a fever, but I think it's an inappropriate reaction of your brain to lack of estrogen etc.

Ditto. Lately, it feels like someone is holding a flame to my neck and back. My family can even feel the heat radiating from my back. Thank God that it only lasts a few seconds at a time. Now those drenching sweats that I experience has lasted about an hour. Wish it would serve some useful purpose like sweating off these added peri pounds, lol smile.gif.
