I had a complete hysterectomy about 18 mos.ago and am on estradiol.  I have a terrible time remembering names and words now.  I guess I thought the HRT helped with all symptoms of menopause.  Is it normal to have memory loss even while using HRT's???

I think a certain amount of 'brain fog' is normal in meno. Are you also stressed or anxious? That can make menory blanks worse. I gather this is yet another symptom that eventually subsides, so take heart!!

Tricia, even though you are taking estrogen, your levels may still be too low. The poor memory and fog are sure signs of estrogen deficiency. Have you had your levels tested recently?
