Hello Ladies! I'm new to this board and I would like to say that I think this board is very helpful to us all. I just had surgery on September 5th ,2007. I had a abdominal partial hysterectomy. I had my uterus removed as well as my fibroids. I still have my cervix and both ovaries. I had the nights sweats even before my hysterectomy. But have notice that I having those off and on a couple nights a week. Also I stay really cold during the day.I have no children and I'm 32 yrs old. I was just wondering what is there for me to look forward too far as the changes with my body and my health. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful for me. I new to it all and I don't know what to expect right now or even later.

Recovery for me was sort of bad, First I have never in my life had a UTI (urinary tract infection), that is the worse pain ,considering I didn't even know what was happening. It didn't burn at all it hurt like hell. After that I had problems having a BM... until I took a laxative, which I have never had to do... So I cramp really bad on top of that my stomach was sore. Once I go over those problem I have been fine. Showers are fine, but I can't wait to sit down in my tub and have a long relaxing bath.

Hi*S*

It takes a few weeks for your hormones to settle after having a hysterectomy. You must rest to let your body heal and avoid complications.

I hope all goes well for you*S*
