Hello ladies!
I have heard of a new type of nightgown which wicks away perspiration and dries fast, keeping the discomfort of night sweats to a minimum. Does anyone know the name of these gowns and/or if there is a mail order source, either online or catalog, or retail stores that sell them? I would love to have one! I had the night sweats under control just fine until I had to discontinue my Vivelle Dot Patch because of breast cancer and they're back with a vengeance. Now I have begun taking chemotherapy and have heard that's just one more thing that adds to the menopause/night sweat misery-- YUK!

I don't guess we can include websites or brand names here? so please feel free to send me a personal message if you have information. Thanks so very much and take care, everyone!

Hugs,
Mary Jo

Mary Jo,

Moisture wicking nightgowns, pj's, etc. are not really new for menopausal women. I know they've been promoted for night sweats for at least 8 years - maybe longer.

The woman I know, Haralee, created her business in 2002 for the same reason you're looking for the moisture wicking sleepwear. She had breast cancer and experienced severe night sweats from the chemotherapy and after it was over. She's a lovely woman and has a nice selection of sleepwear/loungewear.

I'm not going to give her web site, but you can try googling Haralee. When I was going through perimenopause, I used 3 of her products and they worked well in absorbing the sweats.

If you should call their toll-free number, please send regards to Haralee from Dearest.

Hope this helps.

I own and love quite a few of eileen west's nightgowns. I've purchased form various places, but have found the best deals at Macys.

google, Eileen West cool.gif

They are not the most fashionable nighties, but they are very comfortable, and get the job done... wink.gif

Hi Dearest and Lala,
THANK YOU so much for the nightgown info!!! I wonder if I can wear them to work? laugh.gif I had a major meltdown at my work on Friday morning, during a meeting with a room full of guys!!! They're accustomed to my flashes by now, but it was still a tad bit embarrassing. Honestly, I felt like running outside and stripping off my clothes and rolling in the cool, wet grass.... AHH...

Again, many thanks for reading my post and for responding with the helpful information! I will indeed check out all the gowns-- this certainly isn't going away soon...

HUGS to all!

Mary Jo
