What the heck is this now? Like I don't have enough wrong with me!

Off and on for the last few weeks, I've been having this sensation in my face like my cheeks are sunburned, but inside. Not inside my mouth, but inside the skin. It tingles too. I haven't been out in the sun or wind, so it can't be that. It's very strange. I've also been having aching in my jaws for what seems like no reason. Not in the joint though, but rather under my chin and under my bottom teeth. I've tried to notice whether I'm clenching my teeth. I do some but I don't know if it's enough to cause all this discomfort. It's not agonizing pain, but it can get really uncomfortable and annoying.

Does this ring any bells with anyone? Anybody have this and it be diagnosed as anything?

Webalina,

I've definitely had that quite a few times, but I get it on the back of my neck, and on my hands, arms and thighs -- yup feels just like sunburn.
And the jaw thing too, I have that off and on -- my jaw and even teeth ache and I can't relax my jaw and my jaw stays tight. Often I find myself
kind of chewing on my cheek.

Both these have always occurred with other peri symptoms -- I've never got it checked out because it comes and goes with the other symptoms.

Ladies,

I went through a period where I clenched my teeth (and my teeth hurt off and on)..that has pretty much eased up, but I still feel the burning skin sensation. I've had it o the back of my legs in the past and now I feel it in my breast, chest and neck area alot. It's annoying. On top of this I feel more tired than ever...all of this is so draining. I've been around and around with tests and doctors and spent tons of money..just to sit here and feel no better...actually to feel a bit worse. I guess we have no choice but to wait it out. I am constantly praying that God gives me strength. I need it now more than ever. Take care...

I had this a couple evenings ago. Was watching TV and all of a sudden both sides of my facial cheeks "were on fire." I looked in the mirror and it was a bit pinkish - nothing dramatic. This was the first for me, so I guess I am in for more of the same. This one went as quickly as it came on. Odd sensation. But then I guess to be expected as the estrogen is weaned from every single inside body parts. Rebelling don't you think?

This burning cheek thing is the main thing I am getting at the moment (and dizzy). I do look quite sunburnt when it is happening. My eyeballs sort of feel hot too. I assume it is some sort of hot flush. The aching jaw could be sinus issues.

I have this sensation 99% of the time, and I hate it. But if I go look in the mirror, there is nothing to see. No redness or anything. It just feels like one long, drawn-out never ending hot flash, but it isn't. My soreness is in my jaws, either side, but I don't jaw clench either. It is annoying as I think we have enough without feeling sunburnt! mad.gif

You have all my empathy, Webalina.

Hugs,
Viktoria
