I'm fairly confident that I've had some hot flashes and have certainly had night sweats, but I seemed to be bothered most by just being hot.
I'm the one who always chilly. Now, I'm hot. After showering in the morning, I'm sweating and sticky before I even get my makeup and hair done. I'm hot through the night, kicking off the covers. Sometimes are worse than others. Sometimes I literally have sweat rolling down the sides of my face, just sitting in the living room watching television. My husband and son both say it's not hot.
So, I'm wondering if this might be hormonal too.

Queenbee,
I'm fairly certain that it is hormonal. I had the sweating problem during peri and unfortunately it has followed me into post but definitely not nearly as bad. There were days that I had to stand in front of the fan before I could even get dressed. If I wanted to use the blow dryer on my hair I had to have a fan blowing on me at the same time. No one wanted to drive with me because you could hang meat in my car. Even with the AC I had a fan blowing on me all night long. Like I said it is much better but not completely gone and I'm hoping that a lot of it is just from the very humid summer that we have had. I was always the chilly one to so this symptom took me by surprise too. Arla.

Thanks Arla! It feels better just to know that I'm not alone ... and that I'm not melting.
I, too, bring the fan into the bathroom to dry my hair and can't have the blow dryer on the heat setting anymore anyway. It takes forever to dry hair on the cool setting!
For the first time in my life, I'm SO happy that fall is here!

OMG - I am the same --

I was blow drying my hair this morning an d asked my daughter to switch the fan on because I couldn't stand the heat from the hair dryer... This has been a problem with me for weeks but wasn't sure if it was because of perimenopuase - thanks so much for this thread!
