Greetings,Well, as my doctor said....I am  now in menopause. I have been suffering many of the symptoms for 6 months or so and missed my first period last month. My doc recommended PremPro. After lurking around on this board for a day, I can't say I have seen anyone who is 'happy' with PremPro. I have only taken 2 pills but I slept better last night that I have in months....so for me as least so far so good.

I do have a nagging worry. Both my mother and my aunt (her sister) had breast cancer. My aunt died as a result and my mom lived  another 20 years and died of bone cancer. My doc says, well, there is a risk but its minimal.

Hi MsMonty,

I have books by both Dr. Vliet and Dr. Gillespie and both are very anti-PremPro, Premarin, PremPhase, etc., because they are conjugated estrogens unnatural to the human body (however, they are not against HRT, as both of them use it). There are so many bio-identical options, particularly patches like Vivelle Dot, Activella and the rest. If I were you, I'd read the interviews with these doctors (and others) right here in Power-Surge. They are very enlightening.

Also, did you try any natural alternatives first, like soy, herbs, etc.? Just a thought.

Hope you find something you'll be more comfortable with.
