Well, I think i'm past the mental torment I had this past weekend, so thought I'd try to visit here again. It was the weirdest thing I've ever had and am I ever glad it's over. I pray it never happens again.

Thank you so much to all who posted. It was a tremendous encouragement.

Hi to all-this is my first time posting and I am not sure if I am in the right spot. Anyway, here goes First off i am 2 years post at 50. I am also bi-polar with extreme anxiety at times. I have never experienced true mania so I am bi-polar II. Due to 20 yrs. of lithium use I now have kidney disease. Needless to say my anxiety is high because of the fear of my kidney disease. For 13 yrs. I was basically stable in regards to my BP disorder...Until Menopause!!! This has turned everything upside down. Your basic mood, night sweat, crying, anxiety stuff but enhanced by my pre-existing problems. I am hoping to share with others my fears and to hopefully help others cope. KDjoy

Welcome KD

Each of us come to this phase of our life from various paths, different diagnostic "labels" and our own belief system about our short comings ... and then we find each other and for the first time in perhaps all of our lives we realize we aren't so unusual after all. The stories you'll read hear will affirm your hope, improve your esteem and renew the sense of power and confidence in your own body's healing wisdom. Welcome, you have found a good place.

Good thoughts for your healing journey.

You are not alone. Read my posts from the beginning and see the journey I am on. Look in my profile to see where they begin. I have been in a psychiatric hospital for 2 months. Perhaps we have walked the same path as strangers, but now we can be friends. Mental illness can be quite lonely. I know.
