Well......I have started bleeding again. I spotted a little when he did the pap smear, and biopsy, then stopped. That was on the 21st. Yesterday evening, I started bleeding again, and it seems to be like a period again. I wonder if it it just related to what he did? Or, have I started my period again. Any thoughts? I am having cramps a little, but not bad, yet. I'm still going to keep trying the Blackstrap Molasses. I'm not giving up on that, yet. I wish I had the results of my test's! Everyone who is having problems, I so sympathize with you!

Nan, I bled (spotted) off and on for several days after my cervical biop. Call the office if it concerns you. Did he/she not give you instructions before you left?

No, I got no instructions before I left. Did you have cramps, also? I was just told I might have some bleeding, but not for how long. Thanks for telling me what you did! It makes me feel a little better!

I had cramping off and on. My mistake was to go out to lunch with a g/f after the biop and we also went shopping a little bit. I def. overdid it. I was supposed to go home and just take it easy. Altho the doc had no qualms about me leaving the nest morning for a romantic week end (that was planned before the biop was). Obviously no sex sad.gif and none for 2 weeks. But I have to say for the most part I felt fine - other than the off/on cramping and spotting.

What sort of biop did you have?

Nan, I had to have my cervix cauterized once and bled for a few days, so I ran a check on google for what you had done, and ended up on WebMD and this was written there.

After cervical biopsy
Some vaginal bleeding and a small amount of dark brown discharge are normal for about 1 to 2 weeks.
Sanitary napkins should be used instead of tampons for 1 week.
Sexual intercourse should be avoided for 1 week.
Douching should not be done.

I hope that helps you because I don't think you are having a real period at all.

I also hope your biospy results come back with good news, and you have all my empathy for that!!!

Hugs,
Viktoria

I'm not sure what you mean, what kind of biopsy. Right after the pap smear, he took something,(Iforget what he said it was), and scraped my uterus. I know I said this before, but IT HURT! He said he was checking for cancer. (sigh!!)

I think I was mistaken, I think it was my cervix, that he did a biopsy on. I was so freaked out, by what was happening, I don't remember everything he told me. I hope I don't seem like a dope!

Hi Nan,
Sorry you are bleeding again - it is probably from all the work the doctor did.Did you call and check with them today? If so, what did they say?
Hang in there - I will talk to you later,
Diana

I am in Wentworth. About 20 miles East of Superior. Wentworth is an unincorporated town. Only about 100 people. We live 2 miles west of Poplar.
