Hi all.I have learned how to read my bodies signals so much more since starting peri early(30-31)I am 31 now and I have noticed that my symptoms, though controlled mostly by my low dose bcp seem to be changing.I get so tired during the afternoon,I have brain fog off and on,and short periods of anxiety.I know it may sound crazy but I just know in my heart the periis getting worse. My body feels different.Even thought the bcp are helping tremendously,I can feel my body changing.Today I felt so down and tired.I am starting the second month of my new bcp and I am feeling better,I just feel different.Does that make sense??Has anyone else felt their symptoms changing as peri progressed? Can you mark stages of peri while on bcp?I need them for symptoms but am curious if I would even have a period now if I didn't take them.Pray for me ladies I am really fatigued. My brain feels tired and dull today.

Yep iknow the feeling , i know my symptoms by heart now, and i'm getting use to them but it still screws up my day. I want my old self back , I look tired and rundown now. I feel good about myself if i do go out and do something everyday, that is my goal, and i'm trying to ignore the symptoms since i know what they are, its hard but we will manage.Prayers to you LadyE hope it subsides for all of us. hi kiddo,

yes, i have felt what you're feeling, it feels as if your slowly changing, morphing into something else...and you have no control over it. Not to good a feeling! And in reality, our bodies ARE changing. You are young to be experienceing all this, but some women start this pretty early. At least your bcp's are helping somewhat, that's good! I am tired a lot myself. I find my sleeping patterns have changed too, and they KEEP changing too! Yes, I don't feel like myself anymore either, i just feel "different", like you. I don't take bcp's, so I don't know to much about that area. Listen, I will pray for you, you know that!

Sincerely, MyDarling

Hi Lady E,
It is fairly normal to feel that peri. is getting worse...You might be at the beginning of peri. You ask when your journey will be - Each woman is different... Some woman go thru peri. - don't have their period anymore and swooch... there in post meno - they are the lucky ones aren't they. Then there are woman like us - who have alot or a few or each and every peri.meno. symptom and even some not in the list blink.gif ... Everyone is different...

Lady E, have you had blood work done to check your hormone levels? Might be a good idea.

I had a test when my symptoms started and they came back "normal".I didn't see the numbers, but I know what I am feeling is not "normal. After all the other tests came back clear(thyroid, etc)my dr agreed with me that it is most likely peri.

What i hate most about peri is thinking i may be getting closer to the end just to have things end up being back to square one....

Lady E,
I've been feeling different lately too! I recently started on a new bcp too--I'm coming up on five weeks and I still feel awful. I had blood work and everything was normal. My doctor said it wouldn't do any good to check my hormone levels since I'm on the bcp. I still wonder if it would help to check the levels--maybe I'm not absorbing the estrogen from the bcp? I'm a competitive athlete (or used to be) and now I am so weak I can hardly even go for a walk with my family. I just don't know what to do next but I have to do something!

I hate that you feel so bad!I don't feel worse, just different. It sounds crazy, but I just know that my body is different.Maybe I am entering the next phase. If I were you I would rest for a while and take care of myself, you were on Yaz right? That stuff takes a while to get out of your system.Drink a lot of water, take potassium-that has helped me since I quit the yasmin.
