Okay - maybe no one else but me is watching this show - but for the past two weeks our lovely, tough heroine has been feeling dizzy, gotten too hot, snapped at her co-workers and refused to go to the doctor. Even her charming FBI lover said "I think we both know what this is" and she won't allow him to say the M word.

Guess we'll find out tonight . . .

No, I haven't seen the Closer yet, we're behind on the series here. She'd better cut down on the candy or she'll find herself very anxious!

I watch this slow every week. I love it. The stories are great and the ensemble cast headed by Kyra Sedgewick is great.

I too wondered if she were starting menopause or was just sick with the flu (hot flashes, nausea) in the last couple episodes. It could create all kinds of story lines - like, did she ever want to have children and now it's too late? How all those men she works with will respond to her symptoms? Will she find someone sympathetic to talk to who has gone through this before? Will some of the real-life issues with menopause be addressed? Will some man decide she isn't in her right mind and needs to step down from her stressful job?

It's on Monday nights, the Fox network channel, I think, not ABC, NBC, or CBS. It's a great show. My husband loves it, too.

Yep, WriterMom - only it's on TNT and the doctor confirmed it: "early menopause" this week (though she did say she was running more tests to rule out stuff).

Alice - I won't give anything away since you get the series later, my bewhiskered buddy, but the scene in the gynecologist's office should encourage ALL of us in this tricky time. My daughter's moving to London this week - so I'll be monitoring all the UK news these days.
