Hi Ladies. I'm concerned about my health,In 1998 I had a hystorectomy since the operation I've been taking my meds premarin-cream & pill. I will need to stop taking my meds in 5 years because of breast cancer. What options do I have? I'm also on synthroid  for under active thyroid.

I'm so totally confused!!  My mind is spinning with so many terms and explanations......... and my mind is a little fuzzy at this point anyway

I'm flooding with clots the size of NJ.  I had a D/C.  The doctor did blood work and says my hormones are fine, but he wants me to go on the pill until I no longer have  periods.  1)  Doesn't excessive estrogen build up the fat around my midsection (it's starting and I exercise daily).2)  Does excess estrogen cause the clots and flooding I'm experiencing?  If so, why didn't my blood work say "excess estrogen?"3)  If I'm on the pill until  I'm done with my periods, how will I know I'm done with my periods?  doesn't the pill MAKE your body think it still has to have a period???

Gosh, I'm sorry if these questions are redundant from previous posts--I see a new doctor next week and I want to go in with knowledge.  Unfortunately, no females in my family ever made it beyond the age of 38 with their uterus intact.  I'm the lone female in this group!
