hi girls .. it's me again ...now, the thing is, I want to pick up some progesterone creme, to help me with these darn temple headaches and pressure, but I don't know what to buy. I'm not familiar with that, and I don't know what brand or whatever to buy! How much do you use? when do you use it? I am a little afraid of this, I've read on the internet that you have to be careful with this stuff, since it is hormones, and that can really screw up your body! I know many women here use this, and if you could please post here and tell me what brand you buy, where you buy it, and how much you use, i'd be gratefull.....also, tell me if it has had any side affects as well. and most of all......HAS IT HELPED YOUR HEADACHES?

I also know that black cohosh is good, but in what form, how much, and when do you use it? I know magnesium citrate is good for these pressure headaches too, but again, how much do you take? I know the FDA recommended daily allowance is not enough, so how much do you take? I am beginning to think this temple pressure and squeezing is a tension and hormone related, because when I take a xanax it lessens, and if I take Benedryl a little while later, it helps even more, so something is up with that.

ok ladies, thanks once again for all your help and info....i really do appreciate it! This headache stuff has GOT to stop!

Sincerely, MyDarling (P.S. - I've decided to take my self back to the gym and spa, and get back in shape, maybe that'll help too.....oh, and I'm going to continue my writing (romance stories), that'll feed my spirit)

I began using Pro-Gest cream by Emerita about 7 years ago to control heavy bleeding. I experienced no side effects and it definitely helped normalize the bleeding. How much and when you use it depends on whether you are still having periods. suggestions for use come with the tube of cream. If a woman is still having periods, it is suggested that she use the cream in the second half of the cycle, thus days 15-28 of a 28 day cycle. A little dab in the morning and evening was enough to control my bleeding. I stopped using it a few months ago since I seem to be done with periods and it wasn't helping with anxiety or sleep, although other women her report it has helped them in those two areas

Magnesium citrate is a good form in which to use magnesium. It is better absorbed than Magnesium hydroxide. Split whatever dose you plan to use in two and take 8-12 hours apart. Also, while calcium and magnesium work together, taking calcium simultaneously with magnesium hinders absorption of the latter. So if you supplement with calcium, take it separately from the magnesium. Magnesium can give you loose bowels so best to start out low and work your way to higher doses. 500-1000 mg daily is a good final target for help with muscle problems and sleep and to help prevent osteoporosis.

There is a book I believe it is called The miracle of magnesium that has tons of great info on mag. I am sorry I don't have the author I loaned out the book at the present time.

There is a type of magnesium I like, it is called Natural Calm and it is magnesium citrate. It's a powder you put in warm water and it fizzes.

FYI, I contacted ProGest. They said some women experience results quickly. Others it takes some time. They recommend a two month trial to see if it will be of benefit.
