ok, this is day 5 for this stupid temple pressure feeling (and just plain pressure on the left side of my head as well)....now, I just want to know if that could possibly qualify as a migraine? here's why.... when I called my dr.'s office, I got his nurse, she said he'd all me back, but he never did (what a surpise..lol) .... anyway, she listened to what I described as pressing on the left temple, or a squeezing there, and she said, MIGRAINE! but, I told her she didn't understand....because this wasn't a BAD HORRIBLE rolling on the floor head pain, and I've had it for about 5 days now (kind of on and off, but today it's "on" all the time, driving me mad!), and she acted very casual, and said....migraine. She was rather short with me, she said she had patients to attend to...so...ok, but, I couldn't keep talking to her long enough to really ask how this could be a migraine?! Doesn't a migraine, kind of come on you pretty quickly with lots of throbbing and pain and nausea? I HAD ONE OF THOSE a few weeks ago, out of nowhere, it was horrible, I even threw up! That was the first migraine I'd ever had in my entire life, I've had lots of sinus headaches, but not a migraine.

So, my point is......after I had that REAL migraine that day, (which lasted basically that one day and night), I was "ok" head wise for about a week or so.....then, a few days ago, this left temple pressure started again ...so, now that I've had a REAL migraine to compare it to, this doesn't seem like a migraine! Can anyone shed some light on this subject please? Can a "migraine" just be a dull ache in your temple, and TMJ joint for DAYS? (oh, and up on teh top of your head, left side).

hey guys....thanks!

Mydarling;

We aren't dying in this menopause journey! We all might feel that way at times. blink.gif Perhaps try taking up a hobby so that your focus isn't overwhelming on this menopause.

You'll drive yourself crazy. tongue.gif

If you look up migraines there are several different kinds.They can cause numbness,pressure,etc.There can even be migraines with no pain,just numbness.The big thing here though is simple;One of the various causes for migraine or just headaches in general is a drop or even a rise in estrogen.I have a left sided head pressure as we speak,I took a new bcp pill last night,with 5 more mg of estrogen-I believe that is the cause for mine.Are you close to your period?That could be causing this,one type of migraine is simply called "menstrual migraine".I have been diagnosed as having migraines,have had two auras in my life,both during the start of this peri journey.I truly wish you would try a low dose bcp,or just an estradiol tablet,just enough to give you a little relief.GOD bless,and remember,he will give you wisdom,strength,hope and love.------Elizabeth smile.gif
