I am on Vivelle 0.05 and have cut 1/4 off and am now going to cut it in half--is that the right way to go with a patch.  I have no uterus, so I do not take progesterone, only estrogen.

Thanks adrienne

Yes.  Here's the information that Dearest posted about this in another area:

"To taper off the patch, it is suggested you should cut each one in half, tape the edges and continue using it that way for a month, changing it once or twice a week depending on your dosage, after which time you can stop. "

I think that the "tape the edges" part is important, so you don't lose any od the medication.

What do you mean by "tape the edges" ---use scotch tape????

Hmmm, I don't know, but I think I'd use adhesive tape, like you use for other medical things.  That's more likely to be water-proof than scotch.
