Hi all.I am on the week of sugar pills in my bcp,and boy oh boy I hit hormone rock bottom. The left side of my face feels like I am just out of the dentist,I can feel it if I touch it,but it just feels wierd. My anxiety was off and on,tension was really bad my joints and muscles ache, plus I have that headache, you know the one on the left side of your head with pressure?!Ladies,I hate this.I start my regular pills Sunday, but this is nasty.I hope and pray tomorrow is better.I have decided to take this last month of Yasmin that I bought, and if I am still getting symptoms badly I am asking my dr to switch me to Demulin,(zovia is the generic)it has 35mg of estrogen versus the 30 in Yasmin, plus no diuretic.I am wondering if the diueretic in the Yasmin is making my headaches and leg cramps worse.Has anyone taken Demulin?I have heard it is a good pill, but the are different for everyone.Just had to vent,as the health anxiety has reared its ugly head and I feel a bit out of sorts.Love you all---Elizabeth unsure.gif

As you know there are different types of pills...including those that mimic the cycle in that you get different amounts of hormones depending the phase of the cycle you are in....If your pills with Yasmin are phasic, that may not be working well for you. Perhaps your body needs to have continuous dosing of the same amount of homones all month (monophasic).....or perhas you would do better on a triphasic (hommones amount varies three times during the cycle) or biphasic (twice as it implies) (I am not sure what Yasmin is)...there are so many different types.....I certainly sympathize with you as you try to find the right one for you...but you will....I hope your doctor is open to all these trial and error possibilities.....

LadyE: Are you getting enough potassium? The diuretic in Yaz can cause your body to become dehydrated, and leg cramps are a classic sign. Try taking a potassiium pill, or eating a banana. That usually helps...

The diuretic in Yasmin is potassium sparing which means I can't take extra potassium, thanks though smile.gif
