Full Version: update on nausea

I posted about my awful nausea and so many of you gave me advice and encouragement that I just wanted to post a little update. I went to my doctor today and was so happy to finally have an opportunity to discuss my symptoms and get some relief. Well, turns out that my nausea isn't a symptom of early menopause, I'm 2 months pregnant ohmy.gif ! I was in complete shock, I cried and my poor doctor wasn't sure what to do. DH and I were happily all done (or so we thought). He took it very well, and i am scared to death to tell my rather opinionated family. Sigh. Well, at least I know that I won't be nauseated for much longer, the end is in sight. It might even be the easier part!

I'm no spring chicken so i am more than a little embarrassed, but it is sinking in a little.

Just wanted to share-

Congratulations! I am glad that someone's nausea will have such a lovely "end product"! Take good care and read to that little one! :-) kathleet (librarian)

I too say congratulations!! What a blessing! A child at any stage of life is a gift from God and he or she already has a plan and purpose for his/her life! God Bless. wink.gif

I think I'm with zen on this one, but congratulations anyway! I still wish you all the best and a healthy baby!

Oh my goodness. Congratulations! I am hoping and praying for a healthy baby for you.
As for me, you would have to run over me with a car because I just do not have the energy to keep up with a little one. Look at the upside here though. You will be so busy with a new baby that you won't have time to think about menopause when you start going through it. Good luck to you!

Hi, and congratulations I went back and read your first post, so I got tickled after I read about you finding out your pregnant. Well, at least you know your still in the game and haven't swung out yet, like most of us on this board....
I'm so happy for you, if you don't mind me asking how many children do you have and your age is that isn't too personal I'm just curious because peripause started for me at 39, however I had a tubal so I can't have anymore children.
But, you take very good care of yourself and keep us posted on how the pregnancy is going.

Hi and sincere congratulations!!! I hope you are okay now after the initial "shock" and are happy and excited about your "gift"! It's great to hear your DH is supportive and I wish you all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby!
