Ok,I know this may sound stupid, but the other night I had a big crying spell,I mean crying and sobbing, the kind that lasts a while, and now my left eye feels like the tear duct is stopped up or something,it also feels congested and puffy. My right eye feels fine.My left eye has done this before when I cryed a lot--has anyone else had this??

First, this doesn't sound stupid because I cry every other day and my tear ducts are fine....the congested, puffy feeling is normal after crying so much. It is great isn't it? My eyes get really puffy the next day and I have to wear lots of concealer!

Me too...since peri started I cry every day. Sometimes it just makes me feel better to let it all out. And yes, my eyes get really puffy and red. Sometimes only one of them does this...which looks even weirder.

I don't think crying is dangerous, although I've cried so hard i've burst a blood vessel in my eye....Thank Goodness for dark sunglasses...

I have a couple of little pinprick bloodvessals under my eyes after my last crying jag,I am glad I am not alone in this.GOD bless you lovely ladies---I guess the old song was right"Its my party and I will cry if I want to"Except this is no party.Crying releases the tension and anger that won't come out any other way.My husband actualy told me I was holding too much in and that I need to cry more--love his heart he is great. Here's to a big boo-hoo!!! laugh.gif

I've always looked at crying as a healing type thing... Like you - getting rid of stress, tension, anger - having a good ole' cry is good for soul wink.gif
