Do any of you suffer naseau as a symptom?? I have been so nauseated for over a week-constantly. It began right about the time I was expecting my period (which is late for the second cycle in a row). Both cycles I noticed sore breasts and nausea, much worse this time, though. I wonder if there is any correlation to the point I'm at in my cycle?? And maybe when my period fianlly starts the nausea will subside??

Does anyone have any experience with this? Will this get better? Is there anything I can do to get some relief? I truly feel like its impacting my quality of life and I am not sure I can stand much more. At least with morning sickness I got a baby in the end! And I knew it would only last about 8 or 9 weeks!

I did have awful morning sickness with all of my pregnancies, i wonder if that's why i am suffering from it now in peri-menopause?

I would love to hear from anyone who has this as a symptom and what they did about it? I have an appointment with a doctor next week, I am praying he can do something because I feel so miserable and i am making everyone around me miserable as well!

Thanks for letting me ramble....

the doc could probably give you something that might help...

i have had this a few times.. it was just like being pregnant for me too.. nausea from when i woke up to when i went to sleep.. the only relief i had was to eat, but even i could not eat continually! lol...

the worse i had it was for 3 weeks straight, then i had a period. it was my first period in 8 months. i even bought a pregnancy test!! even tho i knew there was really no way i could be... but that nausea, tender breasts, and a spacey feeling scared me! i have not had the nausea like that again since that time, altho i occasionally have it for a day or so only, seemingly unrelated to a period (i haven't had a period since March) i just take an over the counter stomach settler when it comes on as i do not want to be taking anything long term for something that can go away on it's own in short order.

Thanks for your replies- I feel better just knowing I'm not alone- I also only get relief when i eat, but the thought of anything healthy makes it worse. The only foods I can tolerate are starchy, salty and NOT healthy. I lost 24 lbs doing low carb, I am woried I will put it all back on!

I am praying that I will also get releif when my period finally shows up! I also bought a couple pregnancy tests last month! I was relieved they were negative, but these symptoms sure do make me FEEL pregnant!

Thanks again for your replies, I am anxiously awaiting my appt. with the doc on Monday!

Sounds like it could be related to higher levels of progesterone and/or estrogen. One thing that you can try is ginger capsules..

I went through a period of about three weeks where I was horribly nauseas. Eating helped me too. Just as suddenly as it came on, it left and hasn't yet returned (knock on wood). That was about a year ago and my periods are farther apart now. I feel bad for you, nausea is so uncomfortable.

Hi,

I use crystallized ginger that I buy from my natural foods store. I nibble on a tiny piece and it works well.

Good luck,

Riv

Thanks so much for your replies-, I felt a little better late last night, but it is back in full swing today. i never even got off the couch yesterday- I am getting depressed because I feel so bad. I don't feel like getting dressed, or doing anything. I see the doctor Monday, I pray he can do something. I wil try to get by the health food store to check out the ginger today.

Thanks again,
Jerseylil
Natural ginger tablets for car sickness helped me, but I only tried them once.

Usually, I just take Pepto Bismal and it really does help. Although I would recommend searching out an all natural remedy.

In a pinch, however, Pepto helps me. wink.gif
