HiI've been using the estalis patch for one year and have now reduced the dosage to 1/2 patch every 3 1/2 days.I still have some breakthrough bleeding and minor headaches once a month.  The amazing thing is I really believe it stimulated my metabolic rate and I lost 20 pounds.  I started HRT (a variety of pills and patches) when I was 36 years old.  I'm now 54.  I carried that extra 20 pounds around for all those years and six months after the estalis patch I dropped 20 pounds.Amazing.  Nothing changed except the introduction of the patch into my life.  Did anybody have a similar experience?Happy and Curious!

I know this is an old post but I just joined and haven't seen any other members' posts on Estalis. Maybe this is just available in Canada. I just started the patch last week and like everyone else was hesistant. The symptoms that are really bother me the most are the hot flashes. sleep disturbances andvaginal dryness. How long before I will experience a noticeable change in the hot flashes and do they ever go away completely on HRT? My doctor has promised me they will, but of course, he is a male doctor and has never experienced anything like this so would appreciate some female advice. The only changes that I have had this week are my migraines are worse, which is what I had expected and I can handle that with my Imitrex, if I know that the hot flashes will disappear or at least die down to some degree.

HI Rosie, I have not taken the HRT you mention but I do take HRT. It took me about 1 month to start feeling a bit better and 3 months in I really started to see more improvement. It is not perfect all the time for me. I still have low points before my period but I can handle most days pretty well. Best of luck to you!
