I have bouts of intense vaginal itching, usually at night or early in the morning the days before (and after) my period. Well, this month I itched myself so bad that the Bartholin gland is all swollen, have to wear sweat pants and can barely sit at the computer. Anyone else ever have aproblem like this? The gland in my groin is also getting tender. I was also constipated before I got this. Maybe that has something to do with it? I've searched and search but aren't getting any logical answers for it.

Hi,
Sorry you are feeling this way. I used to get a lot of itching, and I feel that eating yogurt helps, I think that it helps regulate the bacteria in the vaginal area. also, if you wear pantiliners, change them often, like 5 times a day. this was suggested by my gyn. Good luck.

I have this problem, and it is AWFUL!

I suspect it may be related to vaginal dryness, etc, but I'm really not sure.

I only know that it seems to happen at night mostly, and nearly EVERY night and it is intense in the clitoral area as well as on the labia majora/minora. Just horrible.

The only medication I take is Zantac twice a day (for GERD related to this horrendous post menopausal period in my life) and I have thought it might be related to that, but I'm hoping to connect with other women here to learn more about it.

I'm 47, but went through menopause very early as did my grandmother (36).

For TEN YEARS I have suffered with horrendous, intense hot flashes all day and all night.

I'm wearing down. Ugh.

Here looking for support and hope.
