Have any of you had vision problems with menopause? I do. The patch is supose to be like estrace pill. I chose the patch instead of the pill because it don't go through your liver. The Dr told me that the patch keeps a steady level all day long, where the pill is a up & down thing all day. I told her I wanted the fastist thing & she said she thought the patch was better.

It varies, but you should be able to see a measurable improvement in 4 weeks, although it may take 12 weeks to maximize the potential. This of course, pre-supposes you're on the right level of the patch. The patch ranges from 0.025mg to 0.1 The usual place to start is 0.5 and adjust as necessary. When did your doctor ask to see you back in her office?

I started out on 0.1 mg day. Thats what it's supose to deliver per day. Dr said she started me on a higher does due to all my symptoms. She told me to call her if I need anything.

Well, as far as the patch goes, you are at the upper end of things. I've been through all the phases of the patch, and am now on CES - thats conjugated estrogens steroids. Its a compilation of 17 estrogens, and its derivied from yams. I'm also on prometrium (for the uterus) and am chuntering along. If you don't feel better in 3 to 4 weeks, give your doc a ring.

Thats what the Dr said would work faster, I was just taking her advice. Do you think the pill form is faster? I am at the point where I will try anything!
