I went to see an endocrinologist because I was soooo fatigued and I was sure that my throid was low.  He is retesting my thyroid levels, but he thinks the main problem is my high FSH and very low estrogen. He suggested I start with Estradiol .05mg patch, once a week.  I have it on and this is the 2nd day.  How long did you need to wait until you saw it helping with hot flashes, fatigue, memory problems?  ( I tend to have an allergy to adhesive tape and I'm wondering what kind of a skin reaction this patch will create. Hopefully, it will not be a problem...since I am comfortable with this route and the natural product)

Thanks for sharing your experiences.Tedi

Tedi,I went to see the doctor because I had all your complaints. I was so tired I could barely move and had horrible leg aches.  I was sure my thyroid was low, but it was normal.  The doctor gave me Vivelle patches, 0.0375.  I applied the patch on Friday, by Sunday I was out washing the car.  My husband was amazed at the change. So I would say you will notice an improvement in 48 hours.

I think it is variable - some people take longer to see a difference.  It can be several weeks.  One thing with Climara - I used to use it - it tended to "wear out" for me after 5days and it is usually prescribed for 7 days per patch.  You might see if you notice that effect.

Thanks for responding.   I guess we are all so different, as everyone has said soooo many times here.  I thought I felt a small surge of energy after several days, but now I am back to the same fatigue and burning feet.  I am still waiting for results of saliva tests that I sent off.  When they finally come in, I hope to have more specific info. Hope you all have a great weekend.Tedi
