I was so amazed to see in the UK they have clinic's for fat pets... Anyone see the show on animal planet? Why don't we have them here in the US?
My only fat pet is 15 y/o Fred (my kitty), he eats and sleeps, we have cut his food down to nothing, yet he retain his weight on air!
My vet ran some tests, he has no thryoid problems etc. He just lazy but such a sweet heart!

No , i haven't seen or heard of that show. But from what you said yeah it would be nice to have something like that in the US.
I also have a fat cat (snowcub) not as heavy as yours as far as a sweetheart he is when he wants to be other than that he is an onary ole thing. He just turned 2 and he rules the house even the dog stays out of his way. northcarolinahappy

Rosie is leaving The View in June~~~~all I say is, I still love ya Rosie. Her movie "A League of Their Own" she was superb in. I was also in the movie as one of the fans.
I am looking at the VHS sleeve and her name is not listed but her picture is! Geena Davis,Tom Hanks, & Madonna also performed in the movie. Penny Marshall produced it.

Hey Snow, YES I saw the show! I LOVED it! Did you see that woman that kept right on feeding her FAT dog (I think it was a Rottweiler) and got MAD at everyone that told her he was fat? I could've rung her neck. She is killing that poor animal. Someone should feed HER like that so SHE could blow up like a balloon!! I call that animal abuse!!!
I'm VERY careful with my little guy ~ I make sure he eats good food and gets plenty of exercise. My friend had a dog that died @ 8 years old from obesity. Very, very sad. And VERY very preventable.
