Full Version: ok, now when do you have to worry about bloating?
I had bloating trouble last year and all tests turned out ok. Now again, especially towards evening for some reason, I get so bloated in the stomach I can hardly bend....it feels like I have a basketball in there or something! I do not have any gas or digestive troubles to go with it, but I sure am bloated....should I again see the doc?

Not to scare you or anything but one of my friends was experiencing bloating and backache...they did some blood work and found that her liver enzymes and kidney function were not within limits. They did an ulctrasound and found she had a problem with her gall bladder and removed it.
Anyway, I think if your instinct tells you to see a doctor, you should.
On the other hand, my 73 year old Mom has been experiencing this for years and no gall bladder problem has been detected.

Hey Slowbear, I get bloated SO bad sometimes I KNOW people think I'm pregnant! Pants are a bugger to button around my waist. I've always been small framed so it is something that is VERY obvious. I too, have a tough time bending over at times. I just had a complete blood workup along with an endometrial biopsy, and everything showed perfect. So I'm just blaming it on menopause. We certainly aren't alone with this complaint, MANY women experience the same thing during this phase of life. I wouldn't be that concerned if I were you, unless of course you have pain along with the bloating. Then maybe it would be a good idea to get checked out. Last week I DID have pain along with the bloating but I was in the midst of some nasty tummy virus.

I am so glad I am not the only one! I guess it is the least of my symptoms, but by itself, quite uncomfortable and MY CLOTHES DON'T FIT!!!!!! I am afraid one day an ALIEN is going to burst through my tummy.....well,at least I will then have a good explanation as to why I was bloated
