Janet R,
My legs ache too. I have 16 steps to go to my second floor and by the last one I feel as though I just runned a marathon. I am 40 and also feel 100. I feel as if i am just falling apart. You are not alone. Hang in there.

Hi,
I was having the same problem with my legs aching. I proably sound like a broken record telling people to stretch, but it helped me so much that I hope it can help someone else. I do a gentle stretching routine daily for my legs and also follow regular stretching routines for all over body stretching. I hope this helps! good luck.

Hi Janet,

yes, most definatley! actually, that's how this whole peri thing started with me, MY LEGS! it was fun! they would ache so badly I seriously thought I had a blood clot or something, it was bad! It would switch sides too, first it wuld be in the right leg, then the left. Back and forth. They also felt very heavy. The muscles felt as though I had just done a complete work out, and they were very shakey as well. Right now, this symptom hasn't been around for about 6 weeks, I'm just praying it doesn't return!

I think this is a very common symptom of peri, so don't worry, you're not alone!

Sincerly, MyDarling

This has happened to me a few times over the past couple of years. From the tops of my feet to my knees feels like I've ran the Boston Marathon WITHOUT being in shape. Terrible pain, and at first it really scared me. But after talking to other women who had suffered with the same thing, I realized it's just part of the aging process. I walk quite a bit on cement floors at work, and I'm sure that doesn't help at all. It normally lasts around a week then disappears as fast as it started. Strange.
