I take it. I have MS and it helps with muscle spasm, and spasticity. My neuro prescribes it on an as needed basis, and I've had to tweek the dosage, so I don't fall asleep while using it, so I only take .25 mg at a time and that helps with the spasms (the smallest pill is .5 mg, so I have to cut them in half.) But it is a light enough dose so I don't doze off. I've taken it for years now, and some days I might take 3 doses, other days only once or none. I never notice any "withdrawal" type symptoms if I don't take it.

This is what my Dr. has given to help me with muscle spasms, pain, and tingling...5 mg..1 at night and once in the morning as needed..he wants me to try it and I'm the type person that I have a low tolerence to anything..benedryl knocks me out then leaves me shakey later...I was taking valium 5.mg..but he said he wanted me to get off the valium and try this..I just wasn't to sure...I trust him..I guess I just worry too much about anything these days..I never used to be this way..and see this is what I was worried about..being sleepy or dosing all the time..the valium didn't make me like that..but I understand too why he wants me to get off it..I don't know why I have pain and muscle spasms the way I do, all I know is I hurt everywhere most days..I do know I have buldging disks in my neck but would that explain the pain in my leggs and everywhere else?..It all started when I was 39 and gotten worse over the yrs..monday when I go back to the Dr...he's gonna answer some serious questions for me...thx for answering my question tho hon..I do appreciate it

I've been taking Clonazapam off and on since I've had a series of wild symptoms and a huge amount of test, with nothing to show for it. I am thinking some of it has to do with peri-menopause, but who knows. I usually take clonazapam when I feel dizzy to get through the work day. I take small amounts as needed.
