I was just coming on to post a topic myself and saw your post and feel the same way lately. I was making mental note the other day that my legs feel as if they may give out underneath me, they feel weak and shakey. I also noticed awhile ago, and if you search you will probably find others with the same, that I had less tolerance for exercise... when I would my legs felt like I did 200 squats, they were shakey and weak, like rubber. Now I get it not even exercising and yes it is scary. I have no remedy just the ability to say I am here with you on this one. As always if you haven't had a recent physical do so to rule other things out, but most of us have been to the Dr. more times than we would like at this time. HUGS Mikki

Hi Jayne,

It's me - I have had this one. The first time I had a panic attack afterwards, proper one, felt horrid and like I was going to faint etc but the other time, about half a dozen over the last three years I have had the shakes both visibly and inside and they have not progressed to a panic attack.

I am not sure what causes this, but I have put it down to hormone fluctuation or maybe literaly an adrenal rush but without any real cause for it to happen. I read somehwere that when you hormones are low your adrenal gland makes more of this to compensate. It was getting this that caused me to google it and eventually finding power surge.

There are some posts on this on the boards I read and was reassured by from other ladies - under internal shaking I think, although they do go on to mention that their's are visible too.

Hope this helps, Speak soon?

Could be a drop in blood sugar. I'm borderline hypoglycemic and that is what happens to me when my sugar gets really low. It feels just like a panic attack. I used to think I was having panic attacks until my doctor explained what low blood sugar can do to you. She told me to keep almonds in my purse and when I feel woozy, shaky, etc., to eat some (or cheese and crackers, apple with cheese or peanut butter . . . ) and it should pass if it is caused by a sudden drop in blood sugar. My blood sugar seems worse when I am PMSing, so it wouldn't surprise me if when we go through peri we experience fluctuations in our blood sugar. I also take chromium (200mg, three times a day) to regulate my blood sugar. It has been really useful. Anyway, just a thought.
